Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the United States today, and it is also one that can you work on in order to reduce the risk of you getting it. Everyone has heard of the various things in life that can lead to heart disease, such as smoking, obesity, too much stress, and having high cholesterol. All of these things are great, but you should also get regular exercise and eat nutritionally balanced meals. Preventing heart disease doesn’t have to be like fighting the impossible. It really can be very easy.
Aspirin therapy has become quite a popular way of helping to prevent heart disease. It is usually done by taking about 80 mg a day. Heart disease comes in many forms like coronary artery disease, arrythmias, heart valve disease, congenital heart disease, cardiomyopathy, aorta disease, and vascular disease; however, coronary artery disease is one of the most common forms of deaths related to heart disease.
There are many risk factors in getting heart disease. Some of those reasons you can’t control and they are: male sex, old age, family history of heart disease, post menopausal, and race. (Blacks, Asians, and Latinos have a higher risk factor than Caucasians do) There are however, many factors that you can control, such as: weight, smoking, bad cholesterol levels, hypertension, physical inactivity, obesity, uncontrolled diabetes, and uncontrolled stress and anger levels.
Controlling and preventing heart disease requires that you make changes to your lifestyle. You have to monitor your cholesterol; you should quit smoking, diet and exercise, and stay active. Believe it or not, you really do have to learn to manage stress and anger as well because not monitoring them can lead to other health problems and not just heart disease. If you really want to keep your heat healthy, just think healthier. For the purpose of this article, I will tell you that fad diets and continuously fluctuating weights are not good for your heart. So please avoid them.
