Magnetic Therapy Treatment

Magnetic therapy treatment is a relatively new solution to excessive pain relief, used when traditional therapies fail. Like most treatment therapies, magnetic therapy treatment is based on predetermined sets of specific and defined goals as set by the therapeutic professionals. Proactive and positive, these goals establish a method for alleviating and/or eliminating severe pain.
For instance, when a patient with a history of sacroiliac pain finds no results with site injections, prescription muscle relaxants, or anti-inflammatory medications (as described by Lyndsay Groem, CTB), a magnetic therapy treatment might be prescribed. This treatment, also known as Biomagnetic Therapy, will involve internal placement of ceramic magnets and magnetic pads with ceramic magnets.
With the typical for magnetic therapy treatment will be two types of treatment goals-the functional outcome and the enabling goals. So, for example, the functional outcome goal (which pinpoints the intended abilities that come as a result of the therapy) for this patient might be to reduce the pain from level 5 to level 1 (the pain scale being 1 for least amount of pain and 10 for most) and to get the woman so she is able to move again.
Importance is also placed on the character of such goals-whether they are short term goals or long term goals, whether they are individual steps taken or final landing steps at the end of the magnetic therapy treatment period. In the case of magnetic therapy treatment, the goals are expected to be reachable, to have positive results that positively affect the life of the client, to be relevant and reflective of what the client needs, and to have a measurable standards. In the case of the above example, then, the outcomes were positive: after one thirty-minute treatment, the patient's pain was down to a 2!
