The one thing that many I have picked up do not cover is this. Diets are a quick way to loose weight, how ever life style change is needed to keep the weight off.
You chose a book that seems to have been written for you. It claims that by following this simple guide to weight loss and “their” diet that you will shed the unwanted pounds. You enjoy the book for it shows you how to keep a daily journal of your success. It tells you that YOU MUST do this and YOU MUST do that. And you do.
The book outlines a six month plan to weight loss, and you following right to the very last day. During your diet you drop pounds and sizes and your friends and family are so very proud of your success. You claim it is the book. You feel a little tired, but you look good. You finish the book, and the diet. You celebrate. You miss the book, you miss the routine. You jump on the scale and …. You have gained weight. And of course you are amazed right?
Well of course you did. There is no denying that weight loss is good but with out the belief that this is a new way of life, you will slip right back into bad eating habits once the diet ends.. Life style changes are what are needed to maintain the weight.
So when you are looking for a Weight loss book, find one that addresses a “New You- for life” This will need to be a commitment from all your family because you need to be working on this new deal for life.
